Welcome back to How to Be in This Body and the second part of my conversation with Krissa Shishumer. If you're just joining us, Krissa studied neuroscience at Brown University and has spent nearly two decades in service as a forensic psychic medium, an empathic intuitive. Since late 2019, she served as a full-body channel for Yeshua. Those transmissions became her book, The Freedom Transmissions, and her second, The Alchemy Transmissions, arrives this fall. In part one, Krissa took us to the very beginning of her story, a childhood marked by autoimmune illness and the long years of trying to be normal that ended in a doctor's office with the words post-traumatic stress. Together we explored how a rite of passage truly is a death, a transformation, and a resurrection. And she showed us what it costs a body and a culture when that threshold is taken away and replaced by milestones. If you've not listened to part one, I would lovingly encourage you to begin there because everything in this episode stems from that soil. In the second episode with Carissa, we move from her story into her teaching. She maps the intuitive capacities she believes live in every one of us, the seers, the feelers, and the knowers, and speaks honestly about what a life of service has asked her to surrender. We talk about her sabbatical, the writing of the alchemy transitions, and the difference between hearing and truly listening. This part of our conversation asks more of me than most interviews do, and this is because Chrissa has an unbelievable skill of being able to read people, but also because we have a personal relationship. You'll hear at the end of this episode, Chrissa reflect on my own gifts, things that I don't talk about, and some of my own wounds that can be seen in my consistent overgiving, which I also oftentimes don't talk about. I wasn't expecting Krissa to name these patterns, but the way that she did was done in such a way that I suspect that for many of you, you'll also be able to resonate. Because I know I'm not the only person out there who has gifts, and I know I'm not the only person out there who struggles to receive and often overgives. So as you listen, I invite you to notice where you locate yourself in the feeling, in the knowing, in the giving, and what your body does with being seen. Here is part two of my conversation with Carissa Shishumer. I hope you enjoy. But it wasn't really until I kind of got absorbed in your bubble where I actually had some language and I learned the differences between these different abilities. So I would love to hear from you maybe some of this language and how they maybe show up differently in the body as well.
Carissa Schumacher: 04:13
Yes. And I just want to touch on your abilities for a minute, too, because I think that this is important. Dreams and visions. So obviously, what you're receiving in dreams is precognizance to a certain extent, but that is how your spirit and consciousness accesses the realm of luminosity. So I'm reminded you also as a writer, and through you know, through everything that you do, that information that is coming from dreams that is basically your way of channeling, so to speak, or accessing those higher dimensions. Although now that you've opened to it, you're accessing more just you know through life or through meditations or whatever else. I'm reminded of a story of a Tibetan monk who is or a Tibetan lama, I believe. And the llamas, that level of embodiment of light, there are different cities. They're called S-I-D-T-H-I-S, that can occur in the presence of Allah. So the cities could be construed as like miracles. So seeing rainbows every time that you're around them, or like miraculous healing abilities. So when I look at Yeshua and he actually talks about this in the book, all of these miracles were really just his cities. And over and over he would go and perform a miracle healing and be like, don't tell anyone that I just did that, over and over in the Bible. And that's because he didn't want people to focus on like the icing, like the miracle or the city. He wanted people to focus on the message and the word of like self-love and God's love and this covenant and communion between spirit and human. So, nevertheless, there was this one monk, I forget the name, and uh he he had one city, just one. Lots of them, lots, lots and lots of city. He had just one dreams. And what he would receive from all of the different Buddhas and avatars were the sacred texts. So he would see in the dream the words, and he would relay it to a scribe. So he would actually see it before him, relay it to a scribe. If the scribe had written it wrong, what was being given to him in the dream, if the scribe had written a line wrong or was mistranslating something that he said, he wouldn't see the the the um the writing anymore. It would disappear. So he would tell the scribe, get rid of that. That wasn't right, and then then the writing would appear again, and he would say, Write it this way, write it this way until it was complete. And the specific lama, I have to find out his name, is responsible for some of the most powerful sacred texts in that particular lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. And so, as you're saying this, I'm like, it's reminding me so much from your dream and your writing. Because in dreams, one of the reasons that I love the nighttime and why I'm most productive at night is because the collective mind becomes quiet. And why I live in a forest, like kind of more away from a lot of people, there's a quieter collective mind in cities. Like the miracles, but in cities, there's a very strong collective mind. And some people really love that buzz and can really vibe with that vibration. But the collective mind becomes very still, and in dream time, we don't have our alpha and beta brain waves that are going strong, you know, do, do, do, look out, see our normal daily rhythm. So we fall into sleep rhythms that are just more conducive. You know, during sleep, our bot first our body is healing, then our brain is is repairing throughout the process. But it's usually those that have this ability that you do have an extra sleep spindle, meaning you have an extra cycle of REM sleep. So your your cycles of sleep, your body is repairing, then your brain goes through its repairing, but it's through that extra cycle, that is when your precognizant dreams will come. And so this the your the mind is more quiet and you you're in those more rolling data, uh delta and theta brainwave modalities, which just makes it more conducive to your spirit or spirit in general being able to communicate with you. Um, you know, and then so there are a lot of the different Claire's Claire Olfactory. I have um one of my relations, is all Claire Claire Olfactory. He can smell it's not an actual smell, but he can smell spirit. He can smell like if someone's in trauma, he just he just smells it. It's amazing. I love that ability. It's so cool. I have a little bit of it uh as well, but nowhere near uh his level. And you know, so there's precognizance, claire cognizance, claire audience, which is the ability to hear, but those are more of like the seer or the healer types of intuitive properties. There are also then the feelers, and I call the feelers the healers. So feelers tend to be more empathic and very influenced by the energy that is around them. But feelers, one of their greatest difficulties is like learning how to communicate that or how to translate. Because it's hard to find words surrounding a feeling that you're receiving. And so I find that feelers a lot of the time like doubt themselves the most or try, you know, shut down some of those abilities, but also feelers are those that have the unbelievable ability for their spirit to communicate to them through their body. So like tai chi, uh certain yoga practitioners, um, Reiki practitioners, their spirit actually transmits the energy and communicates with them through their actual body itself. So their spirit is fused into this circuit that emanates throughout them. And I do tend to find that people with these types of abilities, feelers, do tend sometimes to struggle the most with things like eating disorders or certain addictions, because that frequency can be very, very overwhelming. And all of that, like it's enough to have to regulate yourself emotionally and mentally. When you're dealing with like the energy of everyone around you, it can be really overwhelming. And so, eating disorders, addictions, like harsh self-criticism, obsessive-compulsive disorder, those control-based things are the ways that they that they manage some of those abilities. And so finding those healthy strategies to be able to set boundaries, to be able to shield themselves is a really important practice so that they can serve with all of these incredible gifts that they carry within them. And then, of course, the final category, there are more, but I want to keep it simple, are the knowers. So the knowers, the wisdom or the meta is held within them. So it's like in the belly of the whale. So many knowers have actually had a lot of evolutions to come to that life in which they're carrying that knowledge with them already. Knowers struggle with sometimes becoming too cerebral or overthinking things. And because it's just kind of built into their essence, this wisdom or knowing is just or and or an intuition is just built into their essence and channel, I find that knowers gaslight themselves the most because they have this knowing, but then the brain steps in and oh, that's not accurate, or maybe you shouldn't say that, and it's and the mind starts diluting the knowing that is coming forwards. But knowers also tend to be very strong channels. And one of the strongest areas that knowers move energy is through writing, through art, like and all of those forms of creative expression. And so for you, so for you, for example, you're a little bit of a hybrid of all three. You obviously have the dream and the uh the clair, the precognizance and claire cognizance, but you also have the feeler, and then you also definitely have the knower that is built in there as well. So we've got a trifecta right here. Well, what an easy soul contract. We'll just do the whole trifecta as if one isn't hard enough, you know.
Ailey Jolie: 14:35
Which leads me to a question that I really wanted to ask you. There's clearly a cost, or look, I was I'll say burden, even though maybe that's not the best word. That's sometimes how I have experienced it and definitely choosing to move my practice online just because I was like, I actually, as I'm going through illness and this whole rites of passage, getting this or being this close to my clients is actually like we just need to like I don't want to turn this off because I love this gift, but also it's just not appropriate for right now. I need to, we need to contain. So I would love to hear a little bit from you around what this work has maybe asked you to give up because we can really pedestal it or you know, put it on uh this would be the most amazing thing to have ever. And I think it's important to speak about these gifts as something we can all have and also to speak about them realistically, that they they do come with a with the balancing of I give this and and I get this and I have to give up this and and to to maybe hear a little bit of what that's been like for you.
Carissa Schumacher: 15:40
I'm just gonna recite one of the credos of the divine warrior. The divine warrior is attached to nothing, but connected to all. Nothing of spirit or the divine or Yeshua or Buddha or Kali or any other Mashik Lob road, any other emanation of the divine would ever strip you of connection, including your connection to your own free will within this life. Part of divine law is that spirit can orchestrate, spirit can kind of try to give you a nudge, but spirit, no spirit can bypass your free will. So it's a lot easier to surrender your free will to the divine will. Stop trying to drive the bus, let spirit drive the bus, because we're all terrible drivers, like awful. When I was trying to drive the bus of my life, I mean, uh those poor people, the hit and runs. Um man, I have interesting ride there in my 20s. I was like a terrible driver. I'm like, spirit, just drive the bus. And I, no matter how many times I want to try to, I'm not gonna take the wheel. And I'm actually really proud of myself for not reassuming the wheel in 18 years. But if I do, I go back to the dark side and I'm never gonna let that happen. Now, on with Spirit driving the bus, there have been some very harrowing mountain passages that I didn't think we were gonna make it through. Some interesting uh doctor's appointments. Whew, don't know how we made it through that. But this is all to say that Spirit would never, Spirit wouldn't, you and your spirit would never ask anything of you that you were not ready or prepared for, nor would spirit ever strip you of connection. That is the whole point of lifting the veil of separation. We are always connected. Yes, our body tethers us to the earth, but we are always through our vertical equally tethered to spirit, which is so awesome because then earth gets to be home, but when we're no longer on her earth, then we get to go home to the big home. And so but what spirit does ask of us is to release the attachments, the attachments to some of the stories that keep us locked in victimhood, keep us locked in suppression, the detachment, like attachment to some of those stories about how everyone else is to blame and we're never to blame, this attachment to self-righteousness, this attachment to all of these things that we have and our belongings and possessions. And that does not mean that when you surrender yourself over to spirit, that everything you have gets taken away. As a matter of fact, the opposite. So when 18 years ago or 17 years ago, when I was establishing the covenant with spirit, the covenant with spirit was basically spirit, the divine being like, this is what we need of you. We need you to serve, we need you to not drive the bus, we need you to show up, we need you to be who you are, as opposed to who you're think you're supposed to be. But in return, part of the covenant was me expressing my needs to the divine. Like very specifically, I was like, I need decent health. I need these autoimmune things to go away. I need, I'm not gonna go out and advertise and look for people. You need to bring those that are meant to find me to me. So I didn't even have a website until like two years ago, which is like unheard of for a you know an author with a major publisher. Um, but it just it was all organic. There were certain things along the way when service is starting to become feel like a burden, that's when I know I have to pause. That's when I know that I need to take a sabbatical because there's a very fine line between service and overgiving. And as someone who's conflict averse, but my conflict uh responses are usually freeze or fawn. And so it's very easy to start tipping into the overgiving or doing the, and then what I'm what am I doing? I'm creating a burden for myself, but I'm also creating a burden for that other person because they need to work through it on their own. So I'm being too smothering. And so when I'm starting to feel this is a burden, even I there have been times that I've been in session that it starts to feel burn, or it's starting to get too much into the mental, and I stop the session. Like, go meditate, I'm gonna go meditate. So that is my, and there was a time last year when I was like, I need to take a break, and I took four months sabbatical, and that's when Yeshua brought the alchemy transmissions through, you know, and so it all it all works out, but the things for me, all of the things that I've been asked to sacrifice are all the things that I honestly wouldn't want anyway, thought I wanted, but actually. Wouldn't have been in alignment. So for example, it was very difficult to sacrifice getting married. But I don't want to be married. I love my own attack. I'm married to the divine. I'm married to Yeshua. So what did the divine bring me? A really awesome life partner. Cool. I wasn't able to have children in this life. And that was a very, that one took a long time to come to peace and completion with. But I have the two greatest fur babies. Everything that I ever could have asked for, received, given to a child, I have in the form of Autumn and my little spirit, my spirit pup Autumn, and our little rescue pup Jax. I live a very disciplined life structure because I need to keep my channel pure. If I get all gunked up and like diluted with you know stuff, and I need to exercise, I need to move the energy, I need to meditate, because if my channel becomes diluted, then it then it affects the energy and don't want that. So I do live a discipline life structure and probably a life structure that wouldn't be for most people, you know, not getting together with family every few, but for me, Spirit brought me and my body just what was right for me. Just like you, Spirit has brought you just what is right for you and for every person listening. I promise you that if you surrender over the attachment, and they know the divine knows that you're gonna do a little bit of a tug of war or a big tug of war for a long time. That's okay. That is okay. It's part of the journey. That's what makes it fun. That's actually what makes it real in the first place. But just even one attachment, one just surrendering it over. It's through emptying out those attachments that the divine and your spirit and your ancestors and your beloved in spirit can orchestrate everything that you need to be connected to, to feel less attached or burdened and just more connected to the world, to yourself, to your body, to the divine, to the earth.
Ailey Jolie: 24:48
I wanted to pause here for a moment to just lay a clinical thread alongside what Carissa just offered. Two things. First, on sleep. Sleep spindles are real, and they're one of my favorite pieces of sleep science, but they are brief bursts of brain activity that happen in a lighter stage of non-dreaming sleep, and researchers link them to memory and learning. They are not an extra cycle of dream sleep, and science has not established a link between how we sleep and knowing the future. What is well established is that dreaming sleep helps the brain process emotion and memory, which may be part of why our dreams can feel so wise and so meaningful. You can hold Chris's spiritual lens and that science side by side. I know I sure do. Second, and this one matters deeply to me, Chris has spoke about sensitive people, the feelers, sometimes struggling with eating disorders, addiction, or obsessive-compulsive experiences. Many sensitive people will recognize something true in that. And I want to be clear that these are recognized health conditions with many roots, and that they are not simply the price of being gifted or a strategy for managing energy. If you heard yourself in that description, your sensitivity may be well part of your story, and you also deserve real skilled professional support. And these conditions do respond well to it. As someone with a history of an eating disorder, but also as a clinician who now supports those recover from an eating disorder, I can definitely say support and recovery is real. So again, both things can be true. Your gifts are welcome, and so is your care. Now back to our conversation. You there are many things again that I loved about your answer, but you were the one who really inspired me through one of our sessions together to get really clear around like what are my asks to be of service? What do I need to actually step into this place? And that was such an interesting journey of how quickly the things presented and then how quickly the temptation also presented from the universe. It was like you said that you were willing to give these things up. Well, I'm gonna give you this thing plus like five, I don't know, sparkly gold coins with it. Like, you know, see if you can stay the path. And that was such an interesting place for me to stay in what felt so different and unique, but was divinely my own teaching of like, actually, can you just be connected to you, Ailey? You've spent so much time of service and giving and connecting to others and doing all this stuff. Can you just actually use those same ears on your own body, which has been a deeply hard lesson, but because of kind of taking that teaching from you around asking, it's smoothed out in some ways. And I want to ask you about your sabbatical because during this time you've mentioned it twice now in our time together today. You wrote a new book. And so I would love to hear if you feel comfortable sharing about your writing process, what is in the book, and how it ties into this new era we're moving into.
Carissa Schumacher: 27:46
Yes. So I just want to mention something to you on the basis of what you just said in solidarity, because we're very service-oriented creatures, and I just have a hunch that a lot of folks that would feel called to listen to this podcast are also very service-oriented creatures. So we gotta wheel it back from the overgiving. That's our that's our thing. But in a sense, in a different way, we are both professional listeners. There have been people that ask me what you do, and I'm like, I actually don't, if I if I could just summarize, like you, there's the titles and all of that, but I'm like, she is one of the greatest professional list listeners and reflectors that I've ever met. And in a different way, I'm a professional listener. But I don't mean in the sense of hearing. I don't hear, I'm not listening to what people say and then responding to that. I listen. And so sometimes in a session, what I'm hearing is somebody say, Where's my soulmate and when am I gonna meet him? But when I listen, what I hear is I'm not fulfilled within my life. I feel like I need something external in order to complete or fulfill me or bring me happiness. So they're presenting the want, and I hear the need. And then we're able to delve into the need, and through delving into the need and illuminating and realizing that very often the soulmate comes because there's a completion. And so I'm sharing this because, and maybe in like a more functional or normal, slightly more normal way than me, you also listen. You don't just hear, you actually listen. And what's so sad about these times is that so few people, everybody's hearing, but nobody's listening. So many people speaking, talking, so few people expressing vulnerably, courageously expressing their essence. There can be like the performance of expression, but it that legitimate, deep, rich expression. And so just for you, and really both of us, and I think this is for everyone listening, given how deeply we listen, like hearing does not mean that you care. Listening means that you care. And then the expression is the way of sharing. But it's so important that we remember to offer that care to ourselves. To listen. Even if you don't know what your mind or spirit or body, just to listen to the breath, to listen to the moment. Whether it's the birds that are there reminding you that you're safe, you're whole, you're home. Maybe you listened and your tummy is gurgling, and you realize that you haven't eaten in six hours. Like it's all divine. All of it, even the human aspects of it. And so I love that you're reminding us all to listen, not only to others in our service, but to listen in those moments that our body, our heart, and our spirit are saying, I need time for me. I need time to listen. I need time to remember. There are times for doing, for learning, for serving, but that empties out our wellspring of self. So we need to come back in order to replenish the wellspring and to sanctify. So that's my breath work practice is empty out into the horizontal and then sanctify in the vertical. So the sabbatical, after so many journeys and everything with my mom and my friend, um, but also Yeshua having said that we would need to take a sabbatical a couple of months prior, I was like, I am so not ready. And then May and June happened, and I was like, thank God for this sabbatical. This is everything that I need. And the thing about me, I've never actually, I have now two books with HarperCollins, and I've actually never written a book because these are channeled books. So the books are basically all of the are some of the different transmissions uh that Yeshua has given over the years, and there I just moved them, which is a very difficult to do, move spoken word into written word. Actually, it's tricky. But this was just, it was such a fluid process this time because I left the space open. One of my biggest issues is that I don't leave enough space open. I even if I leave enough time open, if I don't leave enough space open, everything gets cluttered and overwhelming and rushed. And so I just left the space open. And it's it's almost as though I can't even remember that period, which was last summer at this time, because it just all flowed out. And then came the final page, and then I click set, clicked send uh to the publisher. It was like this bubble. And what's you'll you'll get a kick out of this. So this unbelievable, transcendent book. It's called The Alchemy Transmissions: A Pathway to Miracles. It's about miracles, how to not only receive miracles, but how to co-create and catalyze miracles within your own self, which is all about what we talked about with the essence and then the gifts that emanate as a result of that. And it's it is a it is an important book in terms of the world. Yeshua talks about the collective, the new era, the shifts and the changes that are coming. He talks a lot about his life, especially his relationships with some of the disciples. He talks a lot about his relationship with Mary Magdalene. I mean like graphic. Like it's like a graphic, like goes really and then at the end, he covers his recommendations on how, not on what to do, but maybe on how to perceive certain contentious issues in society through a new and more unifying lens. So he covers abortion, he covers divorce, he covers uh demons. Oh, it's so good. Uh, he covers homosexuality. And so while he was doing like offering that portion of the transmissions, I was like, I could just see Yeshua and the angels taking a big sledgehammer to all of this like religious trauma crap. Like women hating themselves, killing themselves because they lost a child or having a divorce, abortion, all of the, you know, the men, the women that are LGBTQ, like that have just had so much trauma from religious conditioning, and he's like, that's old era. This is the new era. We're gonna rock it. And so it's, I love that he touched on things that are so sensitive to us as human beings. He talks about intergenerational trauma and how when we liberate ourselves from a trauma, how it liberates all of our ancestors, like entire bloodlines, entire lineages of the light. So it's special and I hope that everyone finds their way uh to it. Um, but you'll get a kick out of this. So I submit it the next day. I come down, talk about my body. My body, the very next day after this bubble. I come down with the most raging sciatica. Like it was like it was like during the book process, he's like, we're gonna be safe, like everything's great. I felt fantastic next day after submit the most raging sciatica. And what did I need to do? I needed to humble myself and be and be vulnerable and seek care from others and have others touch my body, which is uncomfortable for me. But Yeshua's been like, I need to put you in this discomfort, need to put you in this discomfort. And even this week, I've been feeling so much discomfort because for the first, like, I really need support during this book release, and I'm feeling all of this guilt and shame surrounding just like saying I need support. And everybody's like, you've supported us for like 17 years. Would you mind giving us like just a little chance once in a while? And I'm like, oh my god. That was that was where a piece of me, like a piece of my shadow, was definitely hiding. So it was a like when you reached out, or I don't know if you reached out to me or I reached out to you, but I just cannot tell you how good it felt for you to be like, Will you come on the podcast? You're you know, you're writing a book to hold this all together, to celebrate one another. Like, I can't wait for your book release. Like, it's just this is the sisterhood. Like, I was bullied so bad by specifically other women in my life, and now it's like friends and friendship, and it's not just about the service, it's like friendship, and we can call one another and breed one another's hair. It's just it's so much fun. So it was so deeply meaningful being invited to give an offering in this sacred space and your sacred and your sacred space. And one of the things that I love the most about you, that is that you have created a safe, unsafe sacred space because sometimes when everything is just so comfy, like people are very in need, discomfort, and it's like trauma trigger. Sometimes you have to go into unsafe areas within yourself. So many times with certain behaviors that were unsafe. Like I had to enter those areas of shadow in order to transform and bring the light into them. You know, journeys, it's kind of the same. We're safe, but we're also in creeks, in caves, where there are coyotes and snakes, and yet there's never been an incident in 60 journeys because of that shield and that protection. And so I appreciate that you in this community is like actually really willing to go there in terms of those deeper pockets of transformation and vulnerability, and because it's not fun if it's all the light, and it's not fun if it's all the shadow, it's gotta be the blending to be able to see the image between the two. So thank you for that.
Ailey Jolie: 41:18
It's an honor that you picked that up because it's definitely something I hold as an inner intention around safe enough, and really also just my lived experience of being in containers that were so so so so so safe. And yet, like I didn't really get what I needed to transform or heal or reconcile the stuff inside, and then being in containers that were so deeply unsafe and having the opposite experience and knowing like growth and transformation really happens on our edges, and that ties kind of into the last question I wanted to ask you today is around if there's anything as we come to a close that maybe you haven't shared about your experience of being in a body that you would like to leave the listener with.
Carissa Schumacher: 42:06
I'm not offering this as a statement. I'm offering this to, for, and behalf, on behalf of all of us. There is a great amount of beauty in my life and everywhere, but I also see a lot of death and some of the deepest, darkest pockets of human shadow that make it difficult not to become ragingly angry all the time, that make it difficult not to believe, that make it difficult to not believe that evil is real. Animal abuse, childhood abuse, murder, suicide. People doing things to other people that seem catastrophic. Lock them up, ban them, eradicate them. This whole narrative about eradication is the reason that we are divided. Same thing with our bodies. When you're trying to eradicate all healthy fats, when you are trying to eradicate these parts of yourself that you don't like, your breasts, your thoughts, get rid of it. When you are trying to banish. Aspects of yourself or shadow, they're like children, animals that are starving. And then they cut and then they're they're biting and because they're starving. In one of the most powerful yet rare and unknown, feminine Tibetan Buddhist traditions. Most of them are masculine, but there is one feminine Tibetan Buddhist lineage that honors the practice of the Ch, Ch O D. And in Ch practice, as offered by Lama Sultrim Alioni, you bring these demons, these demons that you want no one to see, that you have so much shame about, so much hurt about, you bring them into the light. You give them form outside of your body so that you can see them. These things that were once allies that have become demons, basically hurting you, crucifying you, making you sick. You move them outside of your body, and you allow the light, the holy fire, to burn, to purify you, and you turn your body into nectar. And you invite these demons to drink the nectar of your body, and as they do, they become full, and then they transform into guides, into allies. They move from the shadow and into the light. And I'm mentioning this practice because this last era on our earth was about eradication. Eradicate these people, eradicate entire countries, eradicate fats, eradicate bread, whatever trend of the day. It is this is a time in which we need to be focusing on integration, reintegrating ourselves into our bodies because there's a lot of fragmentation. Mental body way out here, not in the present, emotional body freaking out, dysregulated. It's like a topsy-turvy ship. And then people wonder why they're slamming into doors and getting into fights and all sorts of because you're a it's a mess. The integration of the spirit, the mind, the heart into the physical body is what is so essential for the embodiment of what it means to be a consciously mature, not just physically mature, but consciously mature person, being spirit on this earth. The consciously mature adults need to be stepping into deeper leadership, need to be expressing themselves because there's a lot of teenagers that got that have the microphone right now, and they're talking and talking and not do it, making a whole lot of progress. Much of what we consider to be dark or evil or awful about this suffering comes from the roots of fragmentation, lack of integration, lack of connection to love, to family, to community, to the earth, and to our roots. And no matter what you are experiencing or have experienced, if you are here in a body at this time in humanity, the last era shift was 2,000 years ago. The folks that got to incarnate now, especially you, if you're conscious and have found your way here, you are a freaking badass divine warrior. You are resilient AF. And it is a privilege to be on this earth. So many spirits want to be here. Angels would give their left wing to be able to be in a body. So no matter the pain, what there is such grace everywhere. So, yes, the temple of the loud bell with the derangement, the temple of the frayed nervous system and the fear. That temple, ooh, I've been in that temple. And it's like the temple of the living dead. You can only hear the outer, you can only hear what outside forces are forcing you into. You can't hear yourself. But this is a time in which, yes, that temple exists within the world, but there is a deeper thunder emerging within the temple of the silent belt. More and more people saying, We're sick of this shit, we're sick of being lied to. More and more people choosing healing, choosing community, choosing to step in to their gifts, choosing to say yes to human, to spirit. If you are here, you are essential. You are an essential worker to the divine. And it's not through anything that you do, it is through your presence alone. So any time that you're spinning out or you're starting to forget, bring it right back to center. Close your eyes. Listen and remember.

Thank you so much for your last words of wisdom, but also all of the time that you spent with the listener. I know that you have a book that is already out that we'll have the link for for people to go read. There are journeys that individuals can join if they go on your website. They can find a little bit more information. Is there anything else you want the listener to know about or would like us to include in your show notes? Yes.

Please include the book, uh Feeding Your Demons by Lama Sultram Alioni. Okay. If anyone, obviously, it's it's kind of wild that what Yeshua shares is almost identical to this Tibetan feminine, like one of the rarest lineage. Like it's just, and so the Lama and I have become close friends. Feeding your demons, women of wisdom, some of her books, it is unbelievable. There are meditations online where you can actually learn the ch practice that are absolutely amazing. So, yes, that's freedom transmissions and alchemy transmissions. I I so hope that everyone loves it. It's just, it is just the greatest food for the soul and completely illuminating. And it's it's what we need to move through our rites of passage as we enter this new era. So thank you so much for allowing me to be here and and allowing me to uh to ramble on.
Ailey Jolie: 52:13
We loved all of the ramble, and thank you so much for being here.
Carissa Schumacher: 52:17
Thank you. I love you. Namaste to all.

You're finely tuned. And a finely tuned instrument needs more care, more quiet, and firmer boundaries than the people around you may understand. Underneath all the language of feeling and knowings, it's a capacity psychologists call introsception, the sense of the inner body, the felt information rising from your heart, from your gut, from your breath. Introsception is trainable. It is, in many ways, what this entire podcast is intended to offer you. And I want to offer you here a little bit of discernment that I hold with every client I have ever sat with. Not everything that feels like knowing is intuition. A nervous system shaped by trauma becomes exquisitely good at detection, and hypervigilance can wear intuition's clothing. And I know I have been absolutely caught in that bind before. Sometimes thinking that my intuition was my trauma and therefore not to listen to it, and sometimes thinking that my trauma was intuition. I mean, it gets all types of confusing in there when you've experienced trauma, which is why it's so important to have practices that bring you back to cultivating your interceptive awareness. What I say to my clients when we're in this place of kind of discerning the difference is that the difference is in the texture. Intuition tends to arrive quiet, specific, settled, and it doesn't need you to act this instant. Threat detection arrives loud, global, and urgent, and it insists that you act right away. Learning to tell the two apart is not a betrayal of your gifts, it's the ground your gifts actually grow on, and it's in the body before it's anywhere else. Chris also names something that I don't want to slip past. Her own conflict responses of freeze and fawn and the fine line between service and overgiving. Fawning is a survival strategy in which safety was once found by tending to everyone else's needs. And it's astonishingly common in healers and therapists and anyone in a helping profession. But if service has started to feel like a burden, your body is not failing. It's telling the truth. Rest is not the opposite of service or helping others. It's what makes being of service possible. And finally, a few words on our closing offering of eradication and integration. What we exhale does not disappear. Decades of research on avoidance and suppression show that what we refuse to feel tends to grow louder. And the parts of us that starve are often the parts that bite later on. Whether you meet that truth through the Tibetan practice Carissa described, through parts work in therapy, or simply through the daily discipline of staying with what you feel, the invitation is the same. Nothing in you needs to be eradicated. All of you is being asked to be brought home. That work of coming home is the whole of what we do inside Embody, my embodiment program, and you'll find the details at inbodymethod.com. If you want more of my writing between episodes, it lives on Substack, and you can find it at aileyjolie.com. If you want to spend time in person with me, you can do such this fall in Costa Rica. All the information is available at aileyjolie.com. Again, thank you for being in the tender, ongoing process of coming home to your body and allowing this podcast, our guest, and me, Ali Jolie, to be a part of that process with you. If you found value in this episode, it would mean so much to me for you to share the podcast with friends, a loved one, or on your social platforms. If you have the time, please rate and review the podcast so that this podcast reaches a larger audience and can inspire more and more humans to connect to their bodies too.
